ABOUT ME

王彥臻/拉拉
YEN-CHEN,WANG / LALA

Yen-Chen Wang / Lala , a Taiwanese visual artist and educator whose work explores the relationships between humans, nature, and culture. Her practice spans installation, performance, and socially engaged art, focusing on the connections between people, place, and memory. Wang translates observation and reflection into clear, perceptive artistic forms, using materials and bodily engagement to create spaces for thought and dialogue. Centered on “art as dialogue,” she has collaborated with children, youth, and older adults in participatory projects that bring art into everyday life and allow participants to experience creativity and a sense of belonging.

Her experiences living and working in different countries and cities have broadened her cross-cultural perspective. Whether in European natural landscapes or Asian urban settlements, she approaches human-environment interactions with attention and care. Through exploring local culture, landscapes, and social dynamics, her work has developed a language that engages internationally while remaining grounded in local experience. She views art as a practical way to understand the world, connect with others, and foster co-existence.
